I'm a big fan of David Bowie, and quite honestly don't understand those that don't like him, or can't at least concede that he is the coolest thing ever. I think Margaret Cho says it best in this quote:

I compulsively buy blank notebooks in the search for My Perfect Journal.
Similarly, I compulsively buy mascaras looking for The One. I mark in my calendar the exact three-month mark and toss them out in favour of a new one just like they recommend in the magazines. I don't think I have ever used the same brand of mascara twice.
I may not need to eat ice cream every day, but I prefer to.
